Students know more than teachers?

Well it is almost a week since i last posted.

The question on the title of this post came to me this past week when i got in a argument with a teacher at university. I was asking for some advice on the project and the teacher tried to make me look like i did not knew what i was doing or saying. The problem was very simple, I knew about the subject. In fact i new even more than the teacher about that matter. It was about Chocolate Industry. A really close friend of mine is really close to that industry and i knew all this first hand information the teacher thought he knew. When I told him he turned very violent in his attitude towards me. He made me work double and also did not helped me.


I later came to the conclusion that in these days we all have access to relevant information. It doesn't matter if you're a teacher or a student or even if you are a guy with no studies at all. You may have access to some information i don't and i may have access to some information my teacher doesn't know about. So with this things happening all the time we need to accept that we don't know nothing about all. We know 1% of all the information out there. I'm sure it is much less. So we need to be humble to accept that people may know more than us in some subjects and accept what they say because then we can learn and use that knowledge for making more money, getting some competitive advantage at work or even being better persons. So i'll recommend my teacher to stop with those attitudes and start learning from his students. And i encourage everyone of you and myself to listen and read an be prepared to recieve some relevant information from everyone so that we can get richer in relevant information.


That is all i wanted to share. We need to change the way of thinking and be humble to earn success in this life.

I was searching for some financial education today. As I love finance but i'm not taking any finance subjects this semester. I found www.investopedia.com it is a excellent web page with a Stock simulator. I have started to use it and lost some money and won some with companies as Elizabeth Arden and Coca Cola for a start. I recommen to any person interested in this to go to this webpage is of great help and will teach a lot. Remember to invest smartly so you won't be depending on a job for the rest of your life. Sunday Morning Thoughts

This 'column' i will like to post every sunday to sum up some thoughts i have in the week that i don't post normally or that i forget. So there i go with some ideas that came to me this morning as i tried to remember what i did and saw this week.

- Knowledge: In this times the world is full of information flowing arround the internet. In fact if you are reading this it means you have access to almost all the knowledge of the world. Every day there are new web sites where knowledge from all over the world could be shared. From the famous Wikipedia to Open Source Food where people can share recipies from all arround the world. So now we hace access to almost every piece of information that we need. Even with this blogs people could share knowledge with all the world. So now it is just a matter of all of the world population getting internet access and we will have access to unlimited information. The will be no excuse fro nor knowing.

-Innovation: I was watching a CNN interview with the CEO of Wikia Inc. and it came to me that in this times specially in the USA there has been a lot innovation specially in the internet and communications industry. We have incredible things like FaceBook, MySpace and others that help us to interact with each other. We have Blogger that allows us to share knowledge easily with every one. For example i'm part of some Forums on the web and it amazes me that new 'tribes' could be made easily on the internet. Fans of artists, wrestlers, television programs, bodybuilding, food and much more stuff are joining together no matter from what countries they are. Innovation is making distance not important any more and giving people opportunities all arround the world. It is obvious that today internet access is cheap and also phone calls. With programs as Skype and others calling people is almost free. And the next step is television. I've been trying Joost wich is a new software for internet television which is great i can't wait for them to start making deals with more channels so that we can really access al TV channels in the world on Joost. I think this will happen eventually as we have bigger broadband capacity and also bigger processing capacity on our computers.

Well i had more thoughts but i think i've done enough for today. I will try to share the rest as the week goes by.

Jonas In Concert

I was just searching in You Tube for some videos and i found this one. This is one of the authors of the 2 books that inspired me on making this blog and he makes some good points in this video. I think that the most important one is that we are unique human beings and that we need to be unique in order to succeed in this world. I was thinking what makes me unique, and i found some stuff that makes me unique, but nothing important. I have started to search inside myself, i hope you can start searching for what makes you UNIQUE. What ability makes you be the only one able to do that? I'm sure i'm going to find something.

The other thing that i found here was one of the last statements made in the Video where he shows a board of directors and asks if they could do products for some women. Well, that is why we all are important here because we all know some kind of market and have some kind of hability that could help us-with the help of others- to build something new for the people and get to make our own company and get to make our dreams come true. We cannot expect to have 10 guys that are 50 years old with black suits to decide what the next fashion collection will be. It's impossible for them to know because they are not part of that market.They don't feel, think or act like that market. So that is why we are all important because we all have the capability of understanding one market.

And as i'm referring to market i don't mean that we all have to make companies. But we have our markets everywhere. Labour-Market, Readers Market, Friends Market, Grilfriend's Market, etc. So with market i refer to a group of people with some characteristics in common. And the important point here is that we have relevant information about these markets and that makes us Unique.

Welcome to MyBlog

This is my first Blog. So i don't know how to start it. I guess i'll just introduce myself. I'm a 20 year old International Business student from Lima, Peru.

Now that you know what i do i must say that i think being at university is a great time and i love it, but all the answers are not there not even 1% of the things you'll need to know to face life. So i decided to start this blog inspired by a lot of things that had changed my way of thinking. First the name of this blog is a tribute to the guys that make me start in thinking different than average. They are Jonas Ridderstrale and Kjell Nordström they wrote a book called Funky Business back in 1999, that book is excellent i recommend that book to everyone who wants to have a nice time reading and a mind full of new ideas after reading it.


Well this is how this Blog starts i'll be adding more as i get inspired and as ideas flow from my brain. I hope you all like this Blog which will talk not only about Business but also about life and everyday situations that happen to people like me and you all arround the world.
